The award was presented to Wedding Memory by Weddings Inc– Wedding Industry Awards for winning Videographer category within the West Midlands.

Weddings Inc – Wedding Industry Awards brings together businesses within the wedding industry across the UK. Wedding business owners have suffered over the past two years with the pandemic and Weddings Inc – Wedding Industry Awards wanted to honour key players and recognise the contribution of business owners within the wedding industry.

So it has been a very long time since we actually wrote a blog or posted an update but what a busy time it has been. We have some amazing news and it was safe to say it was an absolute shock to win both Regional and South Wedding Videographer of the Year 2022. 

The English Wedding Awards had more than 100 wedding specialists gathered on Wednesday, February 16, at The Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport.

The English Wedding Awards 2022 recognised exceptional wedding suppliers that go above and beyond to ensure the uniqueness of every wedding. These suppliers are from a variety of industries and they work their hardest to ensure that wow factor is present at every wedding they’re hired for and Wedding Memory won and scoped the Wedding Videographer Award for the night. 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the couples that voted for us and all the couples that have let us capture your wedding day, it has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to be apart of your special day.

So 2020 is here and it already feels like it is flying by for us, we have plenty of wedding videos to edit and lots of wedding video enquires. 

The best news we had to kick this lovely year off, was to hear that Wedding Memory is a finalist in The National Wedding Awards 2020 for Best Wedding Videographer 2020. 

To be recognised for something you love doing is amazing and as always it would not be possible without the wedding couples who book us and let Wedding Memory capture their wedding day, so thank you very much to all of you.

Wedding videography is taking off and is something just as important as wedding photography, both in our opinion is a must for any wedding memory. Let's see if we can win and really start 2020 with a bang.

Our latest wedding preview video is now online, captured for Stacey and Warren who got married back in July 2018 at the stunning setting of Ardencote Manor Hotel in Warwick.

This beautiful setting was originally built in 1863, as the dowry house for Mary the daughter of Thomas Phillips, a wool manufacturer from Manchester. During the late Victorian era, the Phillips family added extensive servants’ quarters and stables to the existing estate. At its peak the family employed 15 servants and livery staff, 25 farm labourers and 6 gardeners. All staff lived within the Ardencote and its estate.

After the 1st World War the Phillips family sold Ardencote to Mr. James Booth.  Under Mr. Booth’s ownership Ardencote flourished; at this time the village of Claverdon was barely 50 houses and the entire community of the hamlets of Pinley and Lye Green would have all been employed by the estate. James Booth died in 1937 and his family decided to sell the property.

Filmed at the Fairlawns Hotel and Spa, this setting was a great venue to shot at with staff on hand to help with planning everything out and very helpful, which as a videographer is always a benefit.

So we decided to order the DJI Ronin S, it hasn't arrived yet but thought we would just brag about it !
Up till now we have been using the Came TV 3-axis gimbal and it has served it's purpose for wedding videography, but trying to perform nice smooth movement has been tricky and it is something that is important to us in wedding videos.

This was one of the main reasons in investing in a new gimbal and when you start looking at what is out there, as always with videography equipment, weather it is a new lens or camera, it becomes even harder to decide. The DJI Ronin S however seemed to tick all of the boxes and having previously had the DJI Ronin M and still owning a Mavic Pro, we knew how good the DJI products are. 

So the first box was already ticked for us, quality, next was the weight and with a maximum loading of 3.6kg, perfect. Then the fact the gimbal offers focus as part of it's product was always a winner.
